Years ago, my husband and I had a design studio called Harbor, and the logo for Louella Wine Bar was one of our projects. The name “Louella” was from a beloved ancestor, so we played with images of women including a wine glass face, corkscrew hair, grape earrings, and wine sent as a gift from “the beyond.” In the end we went with a simple monogram and type treatment, which we all liked best anyway.
