Logo Process
Most of my clients begin with a logo, and from there we move on to business cards, forms, and a website. Here’s how it typically works:
We’ll get to know each other a bit.
I find it really helpful to meet face-to-face, so meeting in person in the Durham/Hillsborough area is ideal. If you’re not local, zoom works!
Sometimes I’ll create a “mood board” based on our initial conversation.
If needed, the mood board will include graphics, colors, and fonts that I think will be a good fit for your business. It’s often broken down into several different conceptual routes we could take. We’ll have a conversation about what you like and dislike within your mood board. Some clients are so clear on what they need that a mood board is not necessary.
I’ll begin the logo design process.
I’ll design at least six logos, and we’ll meet to discuss them. Some clients are able to pick a design at this time and move forward, and others may need a couple rounds of revision to get things just right.
We’ll build on your brand!
We’ll use the basic elements of your logo and build on those to create a branded suite of materials, pulling together other fonts, colors, and photos. Most clients choose business cards and a website. I design websites on Squarespace, and this can link to Simple Practice or any other client portal.
